Bill is a defense trial attorney. His practice is primarily focused on premises liability, coverage issues, general insurance defense, products liability, and automobile law.
Bill was raised in a military family with roots in South Carolina. In 1990, he graduated from The Citadel where he was Boxing team captain, Battalion Executive Officer, and listed in “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities.” He spent over a decade as an Army Infantry Officer, serving tours in the Middle East, Hawaii and Georgia. After two company commands, Bill was chosen as Aide-de-Camp to the commanding general of U.S. Army Infantry. While completing law school at University of South Carolina in two and a half years, Bill maintained duties as a National Guard Major and completed the Command and General Staff Officer’s Course. Bill returned from Afghanistan in May 2008 after a year of deployment as a senior provincial advisor to Afghan forces.
Bill is married to the former Susan Kearse, a medical doctor from St. George, South Carolina. They have three children. Bill is a member of Christ Church of the Carolinas, serves as regional president of “Sons of The American Revolution,” and enjoys spending his free time with family.
